By downloading, installing, or using Vela ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.
Vela is a fitness and health management application that provides workout planning, nutrition guidance, habit tracking, and AI-powered coaching features. The App integrates with Apple HealthKit to read and analyze your health data, and optionally provides cloud backup for data synchronization across your devices.
IMPORTANT: Vela is NOT a medical device and does NOT provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. All fitness plans, nutrition suggestions, and health insights provided by the App are for informational and general wellness purposes only.
You should always consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting any new exercise program, making dietary changes, or acting on any health-related information provided by the App. If you experience any discomfort, pain, or adverse symptoms during exercise, stop immediately and seek medical attention.
The App is not intended to replace professional medical advice. Reliance on any information provided by Vela is solely at your own risk.
Vela uses artificial intelligence services, including but not limited to DeepSeek API and Apple Intelligence, to generate personalized fitness plans, nutrition suggestions, and coaching advice ("AI Content").
AI Content is generated algorithmically and may contain inaccuracies, errors, or inappropriate suggestions. The App provides a deterministic fallback engine when AI services are unavailable. AI Content does not constitute professional advice of any kind.
You acknowledge that: (a) AI Content should be reviewed critically before acting upon it; (b) AI models may produce different results for the same input; (c) the quality and accuracy of AI Content depend on third-party AI service providers and are not guaranteed by Vela.
Vela integrates with Apple HealthKit to access health and fitness data you choose to share, including but not limited to: workout records, heart rate, sleep analysis, step count, and active energy.
Your HealthKit data is: (a) used solely within the App to provide personalized fitness insights and AI coaching; (b) never sold to third parties; (c) never used for advertising purposes; (d) processed in accordance with Apple's HealthKit guidelines.
You may revoke HealthKit access at any time through your device's Settings > Privacy > Health. Revoking access may limit certain features of the App.
Vela offers optional cloud backup to keep your data safe and synchronized. When enabled via Sign in with Apple, your fitness plans, preferences, and app data are securely stored on our cloud servers.
Cloud backup data is encrypted in transit and protected by row-level security policies. You may disconnect from cloud backup at any time in the App's settings. Your local data will not be affected by disconnecting.

Vela is not responsible for the practices, content, or availability of third-party services. Changes to third-party service terms or availability may affect App functionality.
All intellectual property rights in the App, including but not limited to its design, code, graphics, logos, and content (excluding user-generated content and AI-generated content), are owned by the Vela development team.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works based on the App.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, VELA AND ITS DEVELOPERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: PERSONAL INJURY, HEALTH COMPLICATIONS, LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION.
The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components.
In no event shall Vela's total liability exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
Vela offers the following auto-renewable subscription plans:
Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at the confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your account settings on the App Store after purchase.
Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Changes will be effective when the updated terms are posted within the App. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
We encourage you to review these terms periodically for any updates.
These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the People's Republic of China, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from or related to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the defendant's place of domicile.
